Description

The purpose of this RFP Lite is to establish an authorized Microsoft Large Account Reseller (LAR) for procurement of Microsoft Volume Licensing Software (MVLS).  This MVLS will be purchased through the Microsoft Consortia; specifically, Campus and School Agreement # 01C36107 entered between North Carolina Community College Constituent Institutions and Affiliates (defined in Appendix A) and Microsoft Licensing, GP.  Products and services will be provided according to the terms and conditions of this RFP Lite, The Microsoft Campus and School Agreement, and any addenda thereto.  The vendor awarded this contract will be required to offer a complete line of products to support all mandatory requirements listed in this RFP Lite.
 
The Microsoft Campus and School Agreement allows an eligible education institution to license one or more products on a subscription basis for its institution.  To license software on a subscription basis means that the right to run the product is non-perpetual and continues only during the license period.  Submittal of a subscription enrollment is required by Microsoft for participation in this program.  This program allows North Carolina Community College Institutions and Affiliates to select between a one-year licensed period or a three-year licensed period.  Accordingly, it is the State’s intent to establish a three-year contract for the purchase of Microsoft Volume Licensing Software to begin upon award of this bid.  The State reserves the right to extend the contract for two (2) additional years, in one (1) year increments, and to further amend the contract’s intent of coverage as may be required by future Legislative or State Chief Information Officer activities/requirements.
