Description

This project proposes the demolition of 1,398 SF of an existing two-story, 12,629 SF arts center
building and the renovation of the remaining building. In addition, the project proposes a new
one-story 9,399 SF addition. The arts center building will include vocational arts classrooms to
support painting, ceramics, fibers and youth arts programming in addition to a multipurpose
room and support spaces. The existing structure is of load bearing masonry and steel framed
construction. This addition will be steel framed, Type VB construction, fully sprinklered with a
non-separated business and assembly occupancy. The scope of work includes mechanical,
electrical, and plumbing upgrades as well as the installation of fire sprinkler and alarm systems.
