Description

Carteret Community College is seeking to do the following in the west wing of the Wayne West Building.
1. Repair air handling units AHU-2, AHU-4, and AHU-6. Repairs consist of the following.
a. Replacement of corroded indoor fans.
b. Rehabilitation of the indoor fan housing air handling units.
2. Insall three Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems (DOAS) units to provide energy recovery of bathroom exhaust and
to pretreat outdoor air introduced into the west wing of the building in order to prevent further corrosion and
mold problems due to humidity of introduces air.
3. Rebalance areas served by AHU-2, AHU-4, and AHU-6 due to reduced load as result of pretreated outdoor air.
This will in turn reduce velocity of air coming off the cooling coil resulting in less moisture to cause future
corrosion.
4. Update existing Building Automation System to add new DOAS units.
