Description

Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC) seeks to purchase ten Mitsubishi PLC Motion Trainers for instructional use in its NC Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education (NC FAME) Program. 
GTCC is the host school for The First in Flight Chapter of the NC FAME program. NC FAME combines college coursework with paid, on-the-job training and experience, as well as personal behaviors and core manufacturing skills sought after by local and national manufacturers. The cutting-edge curriculum and paid work experience integrate highly desired business principles and best practices of world-class manufacturers.
Training materials, lesson plans, labs and Student Learning Objectives (SLO) are built around these Mitsubishi trainers. These trainers are compatible and integrate with existing trainers currently in use for instruction by the school’s Mechatronics Program. Standardization and familiarity with equipment employed in the Mechatronics field is vital to instruction of students for job placement after graduation and workforce training.
