Description

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, for its Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, is seeking hardware
with integrated software to remotely monitor and record day-to-day medication adherence via a “smart device” for an ongoing clinical trial. A “smart device” is defined as (a) a smart prescription drug bottle or (b) a smart cap that goes on top of a generic or vendor-provided prescription drug bottle. The smart device must have the ability to (a) track when a participant opens and closes their prescription drug bottle and (b) transmit this information to a Supplier-provided cloud-based data collection and storage platform (the “Platform”). The solution must also allow for the University to access the Platform for purposes of monitoring and downloading the data.
