Description

Mecklenburg County Asset and Facility Management will receive sealed single prime unit cost bids for McDowell Creek Greenway Phase 2 (EB-5785) until 2:00 pm, on Thursday October 3, 2024, at which time bids will be opened at Valerie Woodard Center, 3205 Freedom Drive, Suite 6000, Charlotte, NC, 28208. Bid, performance, and payment & material bonds are required. NC law and applicable regulations of various licensing boards and NCDOT DBE provisions will be observed. All Bidders are required to be prequalified with NCDOT for their specific discipline. 
A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting shall be held at 2 pm on Thursday September 12, 2024, at the address listed above.  The scope of work includes approximately 1.2 miles of new greenway construction from the northern end of McDowell Creek Greenway Phase 1B (Chilgrove Lane to Gilead Road) to Babe Stilwell Farm Road in Huntersville.  The project includes two (2) prefabricated pedestrian bridges, a trailhead parking lot and 1500 LF of timber boardwalk. Mecklenburg County reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any or all proposals.
