Description

The City of Raleigh (COR) is solicitating proposals from one or more firm(s) with which to contract for the following services: research and compile related to Raleigh’s historic Fourth Ward community. Qualified historic research professionals would conduct research and complete a comprehensive report on the Fourth Ward which should include maps, photographs, images, graphics, to illustrate a compiled narrative based on relevant geographic, demographic, historic, and developmental information. Raleigh’s Fourth Ward was originally a political precinct located in the southwestern section of Raleigh’s original 1792 city boundary that grew into a predominantly African American neighborhood by the turn of the 20th century. The compiled research report would be used by the City of Raleigh to aid in development, programming, and preservation efforts.
