decided to contract out part of our ground’s maintenance needs. This includes all mowing activities at all sites throughout the
district. The goal of DPS is to have 100% of our schools maintained at a high level as evident by each site presenting a safe
and beautiful appearance at all times.
The response should be concise and informative about the recommended program and practices for the proposed
grounds management standards, documented procedures, work schedules, and in-service training and
development in support of these procedures. The fundamental requirement of the DPS Grounds Department is to
protect the capital investment of each campus with a well-defined grounds maintenance program. Grounds
maintenance must be managed to achieve greater quality and cost efficiencies and to make more effective use of
resources such as staffing, supplies, equipment, time and capital.
