Description

Sealed proposals for the construction of the Tyrrell County Health Department Renovations, 408 Martha St., Columbia, NC, will be received until 2:00pm on August 30, 2024 at the office of Cahoon and Kasten Architects, 118 W. Woodhill Dr., Nags Head, NC, at which time and place the bids will not be opened and read publicly.

The renovation contract will make improvements to the Tyrrell County Health Department to address physical/spatial obstacles that include:
1.	modifications to waiting and intake office area; 
2.	lab room renovations; 
3.	roof/ceiling/wall/floor repair throughout building; and 
4.	portico for testing/medicine intake/delivery.  

Tyrrell County has received a $900,000 Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) grant to fund multiple activities of which one is this project. All federal CDBG requirements will apply to the contract. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246 & Order No. 11375 which prohibits discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex, or national origin. Bidders must comply with Title VI if the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Davis-Bacon Act, the Anti-Kickback Act, the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, and 4o CFR 33.240.
