Description

The Town of Morven recently received $750,000 from the North Carolina Department of Commerce,
Rural Economic Development Division to provide housing rehabilitation services for approximately (12)
low/moderate income, owner occupied single-family properties. All properties are located within the
Town of Morven. The Town of Morven is soliciting the services of qualified, licensed General
Contractors / firms to complete the housing construction activities.
PURPOSE: The County’s purpose in issuing this notice is to ensure qualified, licensed general
contractors are made aware of this program and are provided an opportunity bid on the project. Prior to
bidding interested contractors must complete a “Contractor Application” and be approved by the Town of
Morven.
GENERAL SCOPE OF ANTICIPATED SERVICES:The Town proposes to provide housing
rehabilitation assistance to approximately twelve (12) qualified residential properties. Services may
include but are not limited to:
 Removal of interior walls / Electrical system upgrades / Plumbing system upgrade / Install new
HVAC units / Insulate floors, walls, ceilings / Repair defective floors systems (sills, joists, piers) /
/ Install new siding / Install new doors and windows / Install new bath and kitchen cabinets and
fixtures / Install new roof / roof system.

Selected contractors will be issued Copies of the Work Write-Up / Bid Specifications. Please contact
