Description

Orange County Schools is soliciting proposals for the interior renovations of three middle school media centers and flooring replacement in two elementary school media centers over the summer session of 2026.  OCS will engage a moving firm to remove and replace books, materials and loose furniture from each media center.  The five renovations will be awarded to one general contractor.  The general contractor is expected to have a responsible employee onsite whenever work is being performed

•         A Pre-Bid Meeting is scheduled for 9:00 AM at Gravelly Hill Middle School, the project team will then walk the remaining four media centers  at the top of each hour.  The last prebid walkthrough will be at Pathways Elementary at 1:00 pm.

•         Sealed bids for the project will be received from bidders by the Owner at 200 E King Street, Hillsborough, North Carolina, 27278 until 2:00 PM on April 7, 2026, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.
