Description

The Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System (WS/FCS) releases this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to solicit submittals from service providers (ENGINEER) interested in contracting to provide services for the following areas of expertise for various projects and tasks.

Following submission of RFQ’s, ENGINEER(s) will be chosen for the various areas of expertise,
And selected engineers(s) will enter into a contract for Professional Services with WS/FCS. The terms of the agreement will be based on the specific project.  WS/FCS reserves the right to split the work as we see fit.

The ENGINEER(s) will prepare a cost proposal and negotiations will take place. Upon satisfactorily concluding the negotiations, a formal contract will be prepared defining the scope, schedule and budget. The ENGINEER will be strictly held to the budget and schedule unless significant uncontrollable events increase the scope’s level of services required.

It is anticipated that the contract will be for a Not-To-Exceed amount.  The ENGINEER will be expected to propose an appropriate management approach, having staff located sufficiently close to the assigned project area to allow for quick response to issues that may arise.

Following the selection process and upon a successful negotiation of contract terms, the ENGINEER(s) will be required to provide their assumed labor hours, equipment, materials, and trip costs to account for their not-to-exceed price for the work. Please do not include this information in your response to this request for qualifications.
